The Guru Granth Sahib contains 78 hymns that mention Banjaras in various contexts. It is the only holy scripture that specifically references Banjara and Tanda communities. Within these hymns, Guru Nanak Sahib refers to Banjaras as friends. Additionally, Bhagat Ravi Das ji and Bhagat Kabir Sahib ji also make mention of Banjaras and Tandas within their writings.
